HOMEWORK
Reading
Your child will be given a book to read in school and at home. They must take their reading books and reading records home every night and are expected to read at least 5 times a week. Please could you ensure your child is reading for at least 10 minutes every time they read and sign their records when they have read.
Spellings
Your child will also bring home a list of spellings each fortnight. They will be completing a range of daily activities in school but please make sure they practice how to spell these words at home.
Here is an overview of the Year 6 spellings. Children should also be able to spell all of the Year 6 Common Exception Words and apply all of the KS2 rules by the end of the year.
