School Trips

After a truly entertaining visit to the pantomime on Friday and as we approach the exciting opportunity for our students to engage in many upcoming school trips, I would like to take this moment to highlight the immense value these experiences can offer in supporting our children’s educational journey.

We are so fortunate to benefit from many local events and festivals, as well as venturing further afield on Year 6 residential, the seaside, museum trips and much more.

School trips are an integral part of our curriculum, allowing students to engage with their learning in a dynamic and interactive environment. The benefits extend beyond academics, fostering social skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. However, it is essential to ensure that safety remains our utmost priority during these excursions.

In accordance with the 2014 National Curriculum guidelines, we conduct comprehensive risk assessments before venturing offsite. These assessments are designed to identify potential hazards and outline the measures we will implement to mitigate any risks. Our commitment to safeguarding your children means that we take the time to thoroughly evaluate each trip, which can sometimes lead to adjusted timelines for our return.

We kindly ask for your support in ensuring a smooth and safe transition back from our trips. It is crucial that we adhere to our protocols to ensure each child is handed over to the correct parent or carer. This process may take some time, but it is imperative to guarantee that all students are accounted for and safely returned. Your understanding and co-operation during this time are greatly appreciated.

We value your partnership in providing a safe and enriching experience for our children.
