Welcome to Gloucester Road Wrap around childcare information

Wrap Around Childcare is offered at GRPS before (7:45 - 8:35am) and after school (3:00 - 6:00pm) care for children in all year groups in a safe and stimulating environment.  Based in the school’s building, there are extensive resources for the children to use during their time with the club, during which the playground and outdoor equipment is also available.

Provision

Wraparound care follows the EYFS curriculum; a curriculum that encourages structured play through carefully planned activities.  

Breakfast is available to all children who attend the morning session before school.  If your child wishes to have breakfast at the club, he/she should arrive before 8:15am.  Children do not have to eat breakfast at the club if they’d rather eat at home first, however please note that the price includes breakfast. 

Breakfast club is open to those who regularly use it and also those who just need a day here and there of childcare cover. Costs for Reception to Year 6 are £3.50 for arrivals between 7.45am and 7.59am and £3.00 for those arriving from 8.00am. For Nursery children the costs are £5.50 for arrivals 7.45-9am, £5 from 8am-9am and £2.50 for 8.30-9am. 

Every parent dropping their child off will need to have registered an account online in advance.  

Breakfast can include:

• cereal
• toast
• pancakes
• crumpets
• sausages and beans/spaghetti on toast
• poached egg on toast
• sausage sandwiches
• croissants

The children have games and activities to keep them occupied. 

The children thoroughly enjoy the club and come because they want to. Even teachers come sometimes - especially on sausage sandwich day!!! 

After School club is open to those who regularly use it and also those who just need a day here and there of childcare cover. Costs for Reception to Year 6 are £9 for collections by 5pm and £12 for collections after 5pm, but by 6pm. For Nursery children the costs are £11 for collection by 5pm, £15 for collections after 5pm, but by 6pm and £2.50 for 3pm-3.15pm.  The difference in costs for Nursery children are due to the extended time and the increased ratio required for younger pupils.

Nursery children are unable to attend after school club on a Friday.

All children attending the afternoon session will need to bring a snack.

Activities are appropriate to your child’s age and offers choice to your child.  Outdoor spaces and equipment are available to the children during their time with us.

The club operates in the Nursery space, Hall and outside areas of the school building,.

Staff

Our experienced team of staff are qualified teaching partners and/or playworkers. 

The priority for our staff is to keep your child safe and happy while looking after them on your behalf.

Bookings

Account: You will need to register with our online booking system found here.

The Childcare Online Booking system will remain the primary source of data. Therefore, any changes related to yours and your children data including health care plans, emergency contact details, authorised collectors will have to be kept up to date by parents/carers.

Bookings: From your account, you will be able to make or cancel bookings, access past bookings details and payment history 24/7. ALL sessions must be booked online and paid for 24 hours in advance. The booking window is closed after this time. Please refer to our Wrap around provision policy below for additional information. 

Bookings will be made online instead of filling forms, sending emails or calling us. 

Payments: You will need to make payments via your parent pay account and will be required to pay upfront.

Please note that Parent Pay accounts must not be in deficit when using the services.

Childcare voucher and TFC: You will be able to integrate the element of Childcare voucher and TFC.  You will still need to instruct your Tax-free scheme to pay us.

PLEASE NOTE THAT RECEPTION CHILDREN CAN ONLY BOOK ON FROM WHEN THEY ARE IN SCHOOL FULL TIME.

Drop off and collection

When arriving in the morning, please use the side gate and ring the bell. You and your child will be greeted by a member of staff at the gate.  When collecting your child after school, please ring the bell at the side gate and your child will then be brought to meet you.
